No spring break plans? The Center for Urban Connections is hosting a Alternative Spring Break. Its wonderful way to make a postive impact in your local community. This year we are going to the Africa Community Center to volunteer and connect with the local community. The African Community Center provides programs and services to assist new residents to the country so that they canbecome productive members of their new American communities. They also provide awareness to refugee and immigrant issues for the public. If you would like more information about this awesome event please contact Alex Basse @ abasse@mscd.edu or come into the Urban Center at Tivoli 243!
There is a upcoming volunteer oppurtunity on campus Saturday,March 13th where volunteers will be working with DPS ( Denver Public Schools) to tour the campus. We need 30 volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Dag in our very own, Urban Center, Tivoli 243.
Please feel free to stop by and ask questions. We can help you with places aroud the Denver area and contacts with the local non-profit community.
