Metro State President Stephen Jordan invites faculty, staff and students to take steps to cure cancer by joining the Metro State team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk 2011. This annual two-mile fundraising walk honors lives affected by cancer, multiplying fundraising efforts by teams and individuals in more than 200 communities across the U.S. and Canada.
The funds that are raised for this walk go toward lifesaving research, awareness and support for those who battle blood cancers. Metro State’s Team goal is to raise 5,280 dollars and join the Top Fundraisers Club. This year’s walk will be held at Washington Park on September 22nd at 7:30pm.
